The title of upcoming Bond film Spectre has only just been released but already a number of modified Range Rovers set to star in the new flick have been stolen. Just like an elaborate plot from one the Bond films itself, thieves have nabbed £630,000's worth of Range Rovers that had been specially modified to feature in the film, from a garage in Dusseldorf.
Reports claim that the upmarket machines had been due to be transported from the German city to the Alps for filming. The latest Bond film – Daniel Craig’s fourth appearance – will feature scenes from across the world, with filming taking place in London, Mexico City, Rome, the Austrian Alps and Tangier and Erfoud in Morocco.
Nine models were stolen, including five Range Rover Sports and there are suggestions that this loss could result in delays to the filming schedule. Spectre, Bond’s 24th appearance on the silver screen was initially due to appear in cinemas on November 6 next year.

Following the theft a Land Rover spokesperson told the Daily Express: “This is a criminal act and the police are carrying out a full investigation. That is the only comment I can offer.”
Actors appearing in the new film include Monica Bellucci, French actress Lea Seydoux, Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz and Sherlock star Andrew Scott. Also making an appearance, is evil mastermind Ernst Blofeld, a character who starred in Dr No and Thunderball movies.
The new film sees a message from Bond’s past putting him on a trail to uncover an underworld terrorist organisation, “while M is fighting to keep the secret service alive” state the film’s makers.
