The new Audi RS6 Avant is incoming, and the German manufacturer has kicked off the teasing process with a shadowy, cloaked photo of the high-performance estate car, posted to its German Facebook page.

Fans and publications alike have identified the familiar estate silhouette, which accompanied a post that said [translated]: “At the beginning of September, we will be presenting a new Audi Sport model live at Audi City Berlin, exclusively for members of the Audi Sport drivers club.”

Speculation suggests that the new model will be powered by the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 motor found in other Volkswagen Group products including the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus.

While the engine packs a punch to the tune of roughly 600bhp in standard form, it has been rumoured that the RS6 Avant will gain an electric motor to propel that figure north of 700bhp.

As is almost always the way with high-speed Audis, it will be equipped with the manufacturer’s signature Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Pricing and specification details for the RS6 Avant will arrive after it’s impending reveal. If you don’t want to wait, or pay for a brand new car, check out the latest deals on the Audi RS6 here.
