Volvo XC90 Teaser

October 27, 2014 | By | In Buying Guides, Video

It’s been 12 years since Volvo pulled the covers off its XC90 large 4×4, and despite a bit a little nip and tuck here and there, little has changed. Needless to say, a replacement is long overdue.

For Volvo, the next generation XC90 is quite possibly one of the most important new cars the company has launched in recent years. Why? Because its set to shape the rest of the Volvo range, with a new platform that will be used in a host of large Volvos, plus a line up that will consist of just four cylinder engines.

An all new model was unveiled at the Paris motor show towards the end of 2014.

As you can see from the video above, there’s a more premium feel to the interior, with a very clear design and incorporating leather and wood, as well as a gear lever made of crystal glass. Seven seats come as standard on every model.

The biggest change though is the tablet-like touch screen control system which can mirror the driver's phone. This controls everything from the sat-nav to the climate control, making for a clutter-free dash. Other features include a head up display and heated seats in the back.
