Snapshot Review: Kia Cee’d

April 8, 2014 | By | In Reviews, Video

Kia has successfully shaken off its former bargain-basement image and is currently standing tall with a range of quality products and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Carrying the Korean brand’s standard deep into the heart of British car buying territory is the Cee’d, which will go head to head with heavyweight contenders the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf. Thankfully, with fresh design – courtesy of Audi TT stylist Peter Schreyer – and a high quality, ergonomically sound cabin, it’s not going into battle with damp powder.

It’s been set up for comfort over driver thrills, but with a choice of responsive 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines, as well as the option of a twin-clutch automatic gearbox, the Cee’d offers plenty of appeal to buyers more concerned with staying relaxed on the morning commute rather than raising pulses on a B-road blast.

If you’d rather buy second-hand, you can search for a used Kia Cee’d here.
