Most Deserving Student Campaign – Update

November 9, 2012 | By | In Promotions

The Motors Most Deserving Student Campaign is all about recognising students that push themselves a little bit harder – not only with their university work, but for their student unions, local communities and favourite charities. That’s why we want to find the UK’s most deserving student and make their lives – and those of whom they help – run a little smoother by offering them a Renault Twingo Extreme and £1000 for their student union.

Since launching our campaign we have been inundated with amazing stories of students who may think that they are ordinary and run of the mill, but who actually go that extra mile for friends, family and strangers to make other people’s lives a little bit richer. From budding social workers to patrons of the arts that are extending their hobby to improve their local community, we’ve been told about them all.

Some of the more recent nominations we have received are those of people who have persevered through the loss of family members, physical disability through operations and illness and the running of their own business alongside all of the usual stresses of studenthood.

Many students struggle through their studies with numerous part time jobs enjoying some of the best years of their lives. Others never seem to stop whether its jobs, volunteering, dealing with family issues, raising children and running for student rep positions within their establishment. If you’re sat thinking you know someone like that why not nominate them? You never know; they might end up winning a car.

Because of the amount of nominations we’ve received through our most deserving page we have decided to extend the closing date until the 19th of November. The top 10 most deserving students will then be announced on the 26th November and the winner of the Renault Twingo and £1000, to be given to their university or college, shortly after.

Most Deserving Student Campaign – Update

As the entries keep on flooding in for those looking to be Motors’ Most Deserving Student, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re keeping the nominations open for another week – we just can’t get enough of hearing about how wonderful and inspirational our nation’s students can be.

From family carers to local volunteers; full-time mums to dads juggling so much responsibility, we’re glad to hear more stories about the student who you think deserve to be recognised for their efforts – and to win a Renault Twingo worth £5,000, plus £1000 to the university society or group of their choice!

We’re picking up some attention from the local and national press, which means it’s only a matter of time before we become inundated with entries – so if you’re reading this and thinking about someone who really goes the extra mile in life as well as in their study, and could use a new car in order to make those extra miles pass more fuel-efficiently, send on their details now!

Student life is harder than ever these days, with many struggling to make ends meet due to rising rent, fuel bills and not enough hours in the day to study hard, work hard and – most importantly – play hard. We thought long and hard about choosing a prize that would benefit our winner on a day-to-day basis and, after a careful search of the local listings, found a nearly-new, highly capable and – best of all – fuel-efficient Renault Twingo to offer. It’ll save you a packet on refuelling, plus it’s simply gorgeous!

So if you think you’re the Most Deserving student of a new car, or know someone who is, then why not nominate them in the Motors Most Deserving Student competition – it’s the perfect way to show someone how much they’re appreciated for all their hard work.
