Thief steals Audi RS5 on test drive

October 25, 2013 | By | In News

A man has stolen a high-powered Audi RS5 coupe worth $80,000 (£49,432) after taking the car for a test drive from a dealership in Houston.

Two unidentified men arrived at the Audi main dealer in a white Range Rover before one went inside posing as a buyer.

However, rather than taking the car during the test drive, he waited until afterwards, when he was sat down with the salesman. Having provided a false name and contact number, the man snatched back his driving licence and the copy the dealership had made, along with the keys. He then brazenly strolled out onto the forecourt and quickly made off with the car.

Audi West Houston is offering a $5,000 (£3,089) reward for anyone who can bring the car back or has information that would lead to the apprehension of the thieves.

You can search for your own Audi RS5 here, though unfortunately you’ll have to pay for it.
