Rolls-Royce has channelled the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll for its new Wraith ‘Inspired by Music’ special edition.
When it went on sale in 2013, the Wraith could be specified with Bespoke Audio, a custom and highly tuned audio system designed specifically for the car.
With ‘Inspired by Music’, this technology is brought to the forefront to provide the “most encompassing music system on the market”, according to Rolls-Royce’s chief executive officer Muller Otvos.
With an exterior featuring a ‘Lyrical Copper’ finish, the Wraith hints at the use of copper in only the best audio systems. Inside, there are speaker grilles finished in copper and copper-coloured door inserts.
The entire system was created by a team of the world’s top automotive audio engineers, with the end result being a 1300W, 18-channel system. Through the two-year creation process, the interior of the Wraith was re-designed for the ‘Inspired by Music’ to create a better audio environment.
The team fitting the interior was also told to consult the audio engineers before any changes were made, in order to keep the clarity of the sound provided to an absolute maximum.
The Wraith’s floor mats have been created from woven leather, whilst the entire fascia of the Wraith is finished in the same copper colour in keeping with the rest of the car.
The ‘Inspired by Music’ takes influence from Rolls-Royce’s partnership with some of history’s most legendary musicians, such as Elvis Presley and John Lennon who both owned a Rolls-Royce at some point.
