Mercedes-AMG has revealed the latest high-end specification for the G 63 and G 65 models – the Exclusive Edition.
Set to be publically revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, this newest trim will include high quality accessories that match the premium nature of the AMG-tuned G models and give them a more luxurious feel.
On the exterior of both models, AMG adds a stainless steel underride guard, AMG racing stripes on the flanks, rub strips in dark aluminium and premium alloys. The G 63 will come with matt black five-twin-spoke alloys, while the G 65 will have ‘ceramically polished’ versions of the five-spoke design. A new AMG monza grey magno matt paint finish is exclusive to the model.
Inside, two-tone leather upholstery adorns the dashboard and multi-function steering wheel – with Mercedes offering six colour options – while the leather seats will have a diamond pattern stitched in. Mercedes fits the seat comfort package as standard, which includes multi-contoured and climate-controlled seats for both front passengers.
Customers can choose between AMG carbon-fibre or piano black trim, as well as being able to choose whether to add red designo seat belts, leather-trimmed grab handles and an AMG performance steering wheel in two-tone leather.
The G 63 model has 544bhp at its disposal to take it from 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds, while its more powerful brother, the G 65, can get from 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds thanks to its 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine.
UK pricing hasn’t been released yet, but in Europe prices start from €163,125.20 for the G 63 Exclusive Edition, while the G 65 version has a starting price of €287,658.70.
