If money’s no object, an optional stereo for the XF saloon delivers the sweetest sounds.

Like music whenever you’re on the move? Well if you’ve a finely-tuned ear – and a very healthy bank balance – Jaguar has just the thing. The Bowers and Wilkins system, available as an extra in the XF saloon, has just won a top award.

What Hi Fi? Magazine has just voted the set-up as the best value of any costing up to an amazing £100,000.

The system, which costs from £1140fitted to an XF earned rich praise. Judge Andy Kerr said: ‘Its sound quality is terrific and, just as importantly, it’s realistically priced.’

The XF used for review featured the Bowers and Wilins Surround Sound System, using 14 speakers. It beat competition from Lexus, Audi and Volkswagen. The judges used a wide range of music to evaluate its performance and drove a variety of roads at different speeds to rate it under real world conditions.
