Future drifters buckle-up in dad’s BMW

It’s not always easy to predict where your children’s interests will lie as they mature into young adults. However, for some mums and dads, the direction they’re heading in is pretty obvious.

The latter occurred upon former Falken Motorsports Pro Formula driver Calvin Wan, who one day realised that, rather than two children, he was in fact raising two future drifters.

To reaffirm his predictions, Wan took to a carefully laid out drift course in his cherished BMW E46 M3, with his two small budding petrol-heads strapped safely in the back.

Not only were his children in the car, Wan’s wife was also keen to join in the fun from within the passenger seat, making the burning rubber adventure a true family day out.

The big prove the blossoming adrenaline junkies were certainly enjoying the ride, despite being thrown from side to side by their dad’s lairy BMW.

It looks as though the smell of petrol and shredded rubber is infused into the toddlers’ bloodstream.

To ensure the safety of his family, Wan’s drifting session was performed from within a closed circuit with assistance nearby. As well as carrying out the display in controlled conditions, all passengers were provided with helmets. Mr Wan is also a trained professional, meaning he knew exactly what he was doing at the wheel of his rear-wheel-wheel BMW.
