Fury over car park porn films

Police in London are investigating claims that a multi-story car park in Sutton has been used for filming hardcore porn films.

Up to three adult films, which are currently in circulation on the Internet, were said to be filmed at the car park in Gibson road.

One of the films has been handed to Police by Sutton Council after being brought to the attention of Conservative councillor Tony Shields by a furious local resident.

The 11-minute clip shows sex scenes being filmed on the top floor of the car park, in the middle of the day, with the Sutton skyline in the background.

The location is just yards from the council offices, which are on the opposite side of the road.

Commenting on the video to the Daily Mail, Shields said: “I have seen it and it is about as explicit as it gets. It wasn't a kiss and a cuddle. If you were coming back to your car with your shopping it would be very shocking.

“The informants showed me the video on their doorstep on a tablet while I was out canvassing. They have subsequently contacted me to tell me there are not one but three videos.

“It is tempting to liken this situation to a "Carry On" film maybe "Carry On up the car park" but in reality it is profoundly concerning to see that hard core pornographers feel safe to make a very explicit film in broad daylight at a public car park.”

It is illegal to film on council property without prior permission and the Police are now investigating whether any crimes have been committed.

A Police spokesman said: “The council passed a web link to the Police who are working with the council to identify any offences. Appropriate action will be taken.”

The council is now reviewing security at the car park.
