For the first time in its 50 years of existence, the Ford Mustang is officially on sale in the UK.
The latest Mustang will be available in the UK as both a coupe and convertible and will feature standard-fit 19-inch alloy wheels, high performance brakes and automatic xenon headlights. On the inside it will boast dual-zone climate control, a nine-speaker sound system and eight-inch touchscreen media system with SYNC 2 voice controls.
Engines on offer in the UK will consist of a turbocharged 310bhp 2.3-litre EcoBoost, which should offer manageable running costs and – in true Mustang form – a V8 option, which measures 5.0-litres and pumps out a hefty 412bhp. Buyers also have the option of a six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
With our new app, customers will be able to see exactly how the all-new Mustang could look outside their house.
As for the options list, buyers will be able to choose from climate controlled seats, which cool you down in the summer and nickel-coloured 19-inch alloy wheels, while 10 exterior colours will be on offer.
Potential customers can download an app to their smartphone where they can specify exactly what they want their Mustang to look like – all with the option of sharing the final result with friends through social media.
Talking about the app, Roelant de Waard vice president, Marketing, Sales & Services, Ford Europe said: “With our new app, customers will be able to see exactly how the all-new Mustang could look outside their house, and as a part of their life.”
Prices for the new Mustang range start at £28,995 for the 2.3-litre car and £32,995 for the 5.0-litre model, with the first cars arriving in the UK in late autumn.
