Motors.co.uk has introduced a new addition to its mobile app family, launching a vehicle search option for consumers with Windows 8 devices.
The introduction of the new app means Motors.co.uk now has search platforms available for Apple, Android and Windows, as well as a fully responsive website which provides access to more than 245,000 used cars for sale from motor retailers and private sellers across the UK.
More than 44% of visitor traffic to Motors.co.uk in October 2013 came from mobile or tablet devices, up from 26% in October 2012. Interestingly, since the move to a fully responsive platform, Motors.co.uk has also seen Apple-owned Safari become the most used browser to access its website.
Managing director of Motors.co.uk, Andy Coulthurst, comments: “Motors.co.uk has led the way in terms of online and mobile innovations in the used car market and we’ve never charged dealers any extra for these advertising options. We’ve created our suite of apps to make searching for a vehicle as easy as possible for consumers
“With the news this year that Windows has overtaken BlackBerry for third spot in terms of volume sales and the prediction that it will reach number two position in the next few years , it was important for us to deliver a comprehensive package of solutions for consumers looking to search for vehicles from mobile devices.”
The Motors.co.uk Windows 8 app is the latest in a series of digital enhancements by the brand, including the launch of a new responsive website. The new platform features enhanced visual and interactive content.
