Bentley announces Flying Spur W12 S

Bentley has revealed a new flagship model, the Flying Spur W12 S.

With increased power, torque and responsiveness, the W12 S will sit at the top of the Flying Spur range, offering a more sporting-focused experience than any other has before.

In fact, it boasts the accolade of becoming the British carmaker’s first four-door model to have a top speed in excess of 200mph. With a 4.2 second 0-60 sprint, there’s no denying that the W12 S will be a game-changer among fast saloons.

This performance is down to the Flying Spur’s 6.0-litre, twin-turbo W12 engine, which, through precise calibration and tuning, boasts an increased power output of 626 bhp and 605 lb/ft. With full torque available from just 2,000 rpm, the W12 S promises a totally effortless driving experience.

Bentley’s traditional all-wheel-drive system delivers power to the road, with a 40:60 rear-biased torque split. A new responsive suspension tune alongside specific damper and stability control calibrations will improve handling and traction as well as providing a more involving, agile drive.

The car’s increased performance and improved dynamic capabilities are embodied in a number of dark styling cues, while a rear diffuser and optional carbon-fibre veneer will give this new model a dramatic appearance.
