New 240SX for young drivers

Japanese manufacturer Nissan are planning to showcase a new sports car in 2010 which will replace the 240SX.

The new model will be aimed at younger buyers and Nissan are collaborating with Subaru and Toyota to fill a noticeable gap in the market for cheap front/rear coupes.

According to Japan’s Best Car magazine, the new Nissan 240SX is rumoured to contain a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine, capable of producing 220bhp.

The size of the new car issaid to closely resemble that of the previous S15 Silvia, with dimensions around 4350mm long, 1750mm wide and with a wheelbase of 2550mm.

The car isthought to cost within the region of £12,000 in Japan and the US and its expected that this price will double once the car reaches the UK.
