Mercedes has revealed a revised version of its popular CLA and CLA Shooting Brake models.
Now, with facelifted bumpers and a new diamond radiator grille, the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake look sharper than ever. A greater amount of technology means that drivers will see a greater amount integration between their phones and the car itself.
Due to make its official debut at the upcoming New York Motor Show, the facelifted CLA and CLA Shooting Brake now comes with a rear bumper that can be fitted with an optional panel incorporating a strip of either chrome or black, designed to highlight the car’s rear end.
A greater range of wheels is now on offer, with drivers able to pick between five different sets of 18-inch alloy wheels, which include a new five-twin-spoke design. These are available in both black and titanium grey paint finishes.
Inside, the new CLA features a slimmer free-standing 8-inch display, which comes with the option of Apple CarPlay and AndoidAuto, which allows drivers a greater level of integration between smartphones and the car’s on-board entertainment system.
Caravanners may be pleased to note that the CLA now comes in conjunction with a trailer coupling, though this is of course an optional extra.
A standout engine in terms of efficiency is the 180d, which produces 109hp but can return an incredible 89mpg on a combined cycle. Despite this, it can still reach 62mph in under 11 seconds.
Of course, there’s still a range-topping CLA 45 available, which produces 381hp and can rocket from 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds.
