Bat mobile caught on camera in California

The all-new Batmobile has emerged from hiding and has been spotted prowling the streets of the Warner Bros compound in Burbank, California.

The beastly vehicle is reportedly taking part in promotional activities in the run-up to the new superhero smash-up Dawn of Justice.

At 20ft long by 12ft wide, the iconic car is the latest in a long line of Batmobiles, with many outlandish designs having graced the comic book in its 77-year history.

It boasts shaved-down tractor tyres on the rear, and forward-mounted machine guns – a questionable feature considering Batman’s dislike of guns and killing.

Members of the public on a tour of the Warner Bros studios were treated to an exclusive glimpse of the car, which is far removed from many of its predecessors.

However, despite their varying designs, all of the Batmobiles have one thing in common, their sleek black paint job.
